Review: Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Plum

Price:  $5-$7

+Pigmented;  one swipe makes all the difference
+Nourishing and moisturizing

-Not long lasting; transfers easily
-Unfortunately, this is a very slippery balm; it slides around and doesn't stay in place.  Because the color is deeper, the uneven splotches that appear as a result are quite noticeable.
-I'm not a fan of the thick, slick feeling this on my lips.  Even one coat feels a little much.  If you're used to wearing lip gloss however, this might not be a problem for you.
-Although the formula is like that of a lip balm, I wouldn't recommend using it on dry/chapped lips; it clings on to dry patches and settles into creases, creating darker patches.

.For easier/more even application of color, dab the product along your lips a little at a time (press your lips together to blend it in after each dab so you can gauge how much color you want) instead of swiping it across as you normally would.  This will minimize excess balm, which will help the color stay in place better and on longer.

So...this is what happens when you press your lips together.
